Inspired by the Mexican Bingo game “Loteria,” these silkscreen prints capture a juxtaposition of my Mexican roots  and my upbringing in the Pacific NW.  The design was hand drawn, and transferred onto a screen where each color was printed by using the “reduction” method with a total of 8 layers of ink. Each piece within this edition of prints is numbered, titled and signed.

What do the numbers mean? The original Mexican Loteria game ends with card number 54, therefore, my version of the Loteria begins with number 55 and continues on.
